NAPRCA is proud to welcome the first-ever student intern to our team this semester.
Anna Eubanks, who is a senior at the University of North Alabama, was selected as student intern for the Fall 2020 semester. The application process required applicants to submit both a cover letter and resume, along with being interviewed by NAPRCA board members. Anna was chosen for the position in late August after interviewing with President Kristen Pepper and VP of Students Rylee Lefevre.
“I am so excited to be able to work alongside public relations professionals within the North Alabama region this semester,” said Anna. “I know I’ll complete this internship having gained a lot of valuable experience in several different areas of PR, and that’s something I am very excited about.”
Anna is majoring in Mass Communications with a concentration in Public Relations. In addition, she is pursuing a certification in Graphic Design.
At UNA, Anna is involved in several organizations on campus. She is a member of Lion PR, UNA’s student organization for PR students, along with serving as the Social Media Coordinator for the student newspaper known as The Flor-Ala. Anna is also a member of a Panhellenic sorority where she serves as the Director of New Member Programs.
“I am so thankful to have been chosen as the intern this semester,” Anna shared. “It makes it even more special being the first student to ever intern with NAPRCA. This opportunity will help me grow in so many ways professionally, and allow me to improve my skills as a professional communicator. I can’t wait to see what this semester holds!”
NAPRCA hopes to see the internship program continue as a yearly opportunity to give back to student members and, in so doing, to benefit the overall growth and success of the chapter. Anna will work closely with members of the Board to assist event planning, administrative duties and chapter communications, including scheduling social media posts, designing graphics, creating email campaigns and updating our website.
