Virtual PRoundtables: Discussions with Local Industry Peers
In lieu of our monthly luncheon, NAPRCA will host three virtual roundtable discussions categorized by industry. Pick the session that suits your interests and join us for an afternoon of peer-to-peer learning. Each roundtable will cover the same topics, but from the unique perspectives of different industries.

Government & Contractors Roundtable Featured Guest
Michael Jones, Avion Solutions’ Communications Manager, has provided specialized marketing and communications expertise to clients nationwide since 2002. He joined Avion Solutions in September 2018, having relocated from Houston, Texas. Prior to the move, Michael delivered creative tailored marketing and communications solutions for organizations providing professional services, architecture, software, government, and more. He’s a proud Texas A&M alum, seeking to collaborate with marketing, communications, and public relations experts.

Nonprofit, Education & Healthcare Roundtable Featured Guest
Trent Randolph is the Public Information Officer at Northwest-Shoals Community College. He has 17 years of public relations and marketing experience in the education and non-profit sector. Trent serves as President-Elect of the Alabama Community College System Public Relations Association and Communications Chairperson for the Alabama Community College Association.
In his community, Trent is passionate about helping children and has served on the Board of Directors for Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Shoals for the past 12 years. He holds a Masters of Science in Management from Faulkner University and a Bachelors of Science in Communications from the University of North Alabama.

Small Businesses & Small Teams Roundtable Featured Guest
Leigh Perry-Herndon is vice president of communications and marketing for the Mobile Area Chamber of Commerce. She has worked for the Chamber since 1998, and has been vice president of the department since 2001.
Prior to her work there, she began her career as a journalist for both the Mobile Press-Register and the Dothan Eagle, and was spokesperson for Dothan City Schools.
At the Chamber, Leigh is responsible for pro-business organization’s overall internal and external branding, including public relations, social/traditional media and design. She is editor of a monthly 22,000-circulation magazine, Business View; oversees logistics for more than 50 annual events; and coordinates a robust international travel program for more than 200 guests annually.
Professionally, she has served as president of both the local chapter and state Public Relations Council of Alabama, and was president of the Southern Public Relations Federation. She has served both organizations on various committees and additional board positions including membership, treasurer, and coordinated several conferences. She’s a graduate of Leadership Coastal Alabama and Leadership Dothan. She was a member of the Junior League of Mobile and is incoming president of the City of Mobile Swim Association.
Leigh is married to Mike Herndon who works for Mobile County Public Schools in PR, and they have two children, Caroline a graduating senior who will attend the University of Alabama at Huntsville in the fall and Sallie who attends Davidson High School.
