Launching Luciana

In case you haven’t heard, Luciana Vega – the 2018 American Girl of the Year – has a unique Huntsville connection. She’s coming to Space Camp! Pat Ammons, Director of Communications for the U.S. Space & Rocket Center, will talk about the communication strategy that brought this character to life. We’ll hear about the two-year long process – from crafting the character’s storyline, to the complexities of working with an international brand, to coordinating a national media launch, and beyond. PLUS: we’ll get to see Luciana Vega up close!

Pat Ammons

Pat Ammons is the Director of Communications for the U.S. Space & Rocket Center. She has a bachelor and a master of arts degree in English from the University of Alabama in Huntsville.
