NAPRCA Members Use Their Time and Talents to Give Back Through 2015 PRo Bono Project
The NAPRCA PRo Bono Project invites TN Valley nonprofits to enter their organization as a potential recipient of a free public relations strategy plan, developed by a team of skilled, public relations practitioners. This public outreach project, started in the early 90s, calls on NAPRCA members to use their unique skill set to lend a helping hand to groups that do so much for others on a daily basis.
For many non-profits, one of their greatest hurdles is the lack of a public relations strategy. These organizations devote themselves to helping others in need, but often times, due to lack of resources or time, their services and message do not reach their target audiences. Those audiences may be groups of people in need of help, or even groups of people looking to help others through the donation of their time or money.
The winning non-profit will be selected by the committee and PRCA Board. Projects with well-defined and realistic objectives are what make a great candidate. The selection committee is also seeking projects that will motivate NAPRCA members and inspire them to make a meaningful impact in their community. Organizations interested in applying for the 2015 PRo Bono Project should email completed applications to firstname.lastname@example.org no later than June 30.
Giving Back Gives You a Leg Up.
The PRo Bono Project team is looking to add to its roster. In addition to helping select this year’s winning non-profit, the committee will meet with the organization’s staff to assess its needs. Not only will this allow members to learn more about their local non-profit community, but it also allows every member hands on experience in developing a strategic PR plan from the ground up. If you are looking to dive deeper into the PR community, reconnect with other members or serve as a guide to new professionals on the scene, please volunteer for this worthy cause. Committee meetings will begin in May to select the project recipient. Interested members should email email@example.com.
